CERTIFICATE OF : DESTRUCTION ($15 per Airbag) | EXPORT ($15 per Airbag) | OWNERSHIP & SCRAPPAGE ($10 per Airbag)
EVIDENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR A RECYCLER ISSUING:
A “CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION” (CoD),
A “CERTIFICATE OF EXPORT” (CoE), or
A “CERTIFICATE OF OWNERSHIP & SCRAPPAGE” (CoOS).
To issue a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) or Export (CoE) a recycler must have and retain the following evidence:
- Written evidence of ownership – typically a record in an Electronic Inventory System or a record in the Police Book or Inventory book kept by the business;
- Written evidence of crushing/scrappage of the vehicle (for CoD) including the date of sale to a scrap metal trader, or written evidence of export (for CoE);
- Representative copies of receipts from the scrap metal dealer evidencing the business process of sale of vehicle shells for scrapping, or copies of export documentation;
- A Statutory Declaration signed by the business;
- A Statement signed by the ARAA Field Courier verifying that the ownership, crushing and scrappage records reflect the business process they have sighted.
Recycler compensation per Certificate of Destruction or Export - $15 per Certificate
To issue a Certificate of Ownership & Scrappage (CoOS) a recycler must have and retain the following evidence:
- Written evidence of ownership – typically a record in an Electronic Inventory System or a record in the Police Book or Inventory book kept by the business;
- Representative copies of receipts from the scrap metal dealer evidencing the business process of sale of vehicle shells for scrapping;
- A Statutory Declaration signed by the business;
- A Statement signed by the ARAA Field Courier verifying that the ownership, crushing and scrappage records reflect the business process they have sighted.
Recycler compensation per Certificate of Ownership & Scrappage - $10 per Certificate
Copies (photos) of the above documents must be uploaded by ARAA’s Field Courier to the ARAA management system where they can be viewed by the Manufacturer and the ACCC.
